Neighborhood Street Lighting Improvement Project

Investing in Guadalupe neighborhoods
neighborhood 14 streetlight installation

As part of a neighborhood lighting improvement project, work began May 16 to install 14 new streetlights in the neighborhood north of Calle Guadalupe and east of Avenida del Yaqui. The project aims to improve nighttime visibility and safety, as well as providing a framework for improving neighborhood lighting throughout Guadalupe in the future.

The Town contracted with Fluoresco Services to install four different types of light fixtures throughout the neighborhood to allow residents and Town officials to evaluate their effectiveness and determine which lights the community prefers. Installation is expected to be completed by June 30, after which the Town will provide opportunities for residents to share their feedback.

The estimated cost of the project is $125,000, which is being funded with Town of Guadalupe Highway User Revenue Fund monies. The project is being implemented through a partnership between the Town of Guadalupe, Salt River Project, Dibble Engineering and Fluoresco Services.
